Renny Harlin’s Devil’s Pass (2014) sent me for a trip. It went from an adventure film where a group of mountain climbers set off to explore a mystery on a mountain about disappeared hikers. The mountain is in a remote location in Russia. As if that isn’t already suspicious, you know? Of course, things start to go wrong almost immediately. Scary things start to happen, and they believe they are lost and being haunted by demons on the mountain. Three survive from the group, but they find themselves lost in a science lab created inside the mountain. What they find goes from scary to a weird science-fiction twist. The ending is frustrating. And, for those that do not like when films genre jump, this one is probably not for you. I found it interesting enough to give it a watch though I really think the script should have skipped the ending and opted for a haunted ending.
